Different aspects of the CRC

In dit onderzoek is vanuit antropologische, juridische en sociologische invalshoeken gekeken naar de impact van de CRC in verschillende landen. 

Vanuit een antropologische invalshoek is onderzocht hoe cultuur het recht binnendringt en dillemma’s creëert voor staten omtrent hoe om te gaan met hun verantwoordelijkheden om enerzijds de integriteit van de staat te beschermen en anderzijds de rechten van het kind te beschermen. 

Vanuit een juridische invalshoek is gekeken naar de sociaaleconomische impact die kindermishandeling heeft op een samenleving in landen met hoge en lage inkomens over de hele wereld. 

Tot slot is vanuit een sociologische benadering onderzocht hoe rechtssociologie het dagelijks leven van gewone burgers beïnvloedt.

A case study of how legal anthropology, a critical legal approach and legal sociology bring to light different aspects of the CRC.

From a legal anthropological approach I have chosen two articles in which the authors throw light on how culture enters the horizon of law and creates dillemmas for States of how to deal with their responsibilities to protect the integrity of the state, on the one hand, and the protection of the rights of children, on the other hand.

From an critical legal approach both articles  discuss the serious socioeconomic impact that Child Maltreatment (CM) has on a society in high- and low income countries around the world.

For the final approach (a sociological approach) I have chosen two articles in which the authors throw light on
how sociology of law impacts everyday life of ordinary citizens.7
